About this listen
Christians have not always presented an inviting picture to the world. Too often we have failed to show the beauty of authentic Christian love. And the world has disregarded Christianity as a result. In our era of global violence and sectarian intolerance, the church needs to hear anew the challenge of this book.
Decades ago Francis Schaeffer exhorted, "Love - and the unity it attests to - is the mark Christ gave Christians to wear before the world. Only with this mark may the world know that Christians are indeed Christians and that Jesus was sent by the Father." More than ever, the church needs to respond compassionately to a needy world. More than ever, we need to show the Mark.

Compulsory excellence
I’m so glad I listened to this book. Such a needed message for all Christians in all ages. Our behaviour towards our fellow believers must always be rooted in genuine love.

The Heart of the Matter
The subject material of this book is basic but so is the heartbeat also basic to life and no one would argue its importance.
Love touches the surface yet also plumbs the depths of all Christianity is designed to be. Our love will not stand the test if superficial or sporadic. It must be stoutly supernatural so that the brethren can rest in it and the world can test us by it.
True essentials are here to consider which Francis Schaeffer dicusses in depth. And wisely- not just once. This book will serve well to remind and test our love as we would over the years return regularly to hear it again to assure ourselves that we are not running in vain.
