Bloody loved it!!!
Highly recommend the posh zombies! Loved that even if they were technically zombies it had its own flare to it and it was a love story as well as good old detective work. The storyline kept me wanting to know more of all the characters which made me go back and listen to highland wolves and Serephina’s story as well. As always Marian Hussey deserves a standing ovation 👏🏽

Perfect narrator for entertaining story
Marion’s reading really is wonderful. As for the stories, what a bargain getting 3 books for 1 credit and canny too, I’m hooked. The mix of gentile Regency setting with “afflicted” ie polite zombies was a hoot and so we’ll drawn out. I liked protagonist Hannah at the start because of her skills and consistent empathy. Though she did get a bit whiney at times, by book 3 she’s the more self-assured women I’d love to spend more time with. Execution of the mystery aspect improved by book 3. I’m there for the slow burn romance. And I can’t not mention how much I love the Addams Family vibes with Barnes and Frank!

not the author's best
I do love the world of Tilly Wallace. I really enjoyed the Highland wolves series, so maybe my expectations were too high. Found the FMC sort of silly, but MMC was well written and unveiled through the books in a charming way. Biggest issue was soooo repetitive! Multiple characters had the same conversation one after the other, information was provided two, three, four times within the same couple chapters. needed a good edit. Also minor bugbear is the scientist characters kept saying hypothesis when they meant theory (not interchangeable!).
