About this listen

We broke our new series on learning Mandarin down into different learning stages. Start with the lower beginner books, followed by beginner and upper beginner books. Next, progress to the intermediate series, then test and reinforce your knowledge with the Conversations series.

Our experienced educators and speakers possess the linguistic skills to help you understand and speak Mandarin clearly. We are very proud to have developed a book that truly helps you learn Mandarin quickly and easily, anytime and anywhere. This audiobook is divided into units. While it provides different learning patterns and accommodates various needs, this book focuses on helping you improve your ability to understand, speak, and memorize Mandarin.

The sample will give you a taste of what you can look forward to:

In the first unit, you will hear Mandarin decoded with each syllable spoken very slowly and clearly with repetition. Immediately before each sentence is spoken, you will hear the translation, so you will always understand what is being said.

In the second unit, the focus is solely on increasing your listening ability, which will improve your abilities to engage in dialogue with a native Mandarin speaker. This chapter requires you to listen very carefully to nuances in the language.

By the third unit, you will already notice progress in your abilities to speak and understand Mandarin. The spoken translation is followed by two repetitions in Mandarin at a completely natural speed. While you are learning to process naturally spoken Mandarin, the third and fourth units will help you memorize new vocabulary and full sentences.

In the fifth unit, you can test yourself on how much you have learned. If you are having difficulties, we suggest you revisit the listening, speaking, or memorization section of the previous units,, according to what you need more help with.

We developed our audiobooks to enable you to learn without a physical book or e-book. This gives you the opportunity to advance your Mandarin language skills anywhere whether you’re on the go or waiting around. As the audiobook is neatly arranged into many subunits, it is also very practical for educators to navigate and use in classrooms or any time sensitive learning environment.
