A useful reminder
If you’re highly experienced, there is nothing in this book that would be entirely new, but it would a good reminder of the right attitude and strategies to manage up. If you’re relatively less experienced, the book can be an eye opener. Two things I particularly liked - gender is used alternatively to ensure that there is no subconscious bias or stereotyping; and it emphasizes on career growth while also underlining the importance of knowing how to be a good follower regardless of the level you are at.

Great book
This book was full of helpful suggestions on how to navigate different manager personalities and their deficiencies. The first half of the book was very positive and optimistic, which I found helpful to stay motivated in my own managing up journey. The latter half of the book felt more negative to me but still had lots of good advice and was worth listening to. The narrator did a great job and was easy to listen to.

Wish I'd read this a decade ago
Really valuable advice that can be readily applied to any management relationship. I would have preferred to hear the author narrate, but I still appreciated the professional narration, including the range of accents used to differentiate the real life examples.
