You thought she was dead.

She fooled you once.

Will she fool you again?

In 2016, eight-year-old Daisy Mason vanished.

Her mother was convicted of her murder. But her body was never found.

Now, evidence at a current murder scene calls the whole case into question. DCI Adam Fawley and the team are brought back to investigate. And they all have one question on their minds.

Immensely readable … a mesmerising crime narrative

An ever-changing picture of an utterly devious killer

Sensational … This riveting story reveals Daisy as far more sinister than anyone expects

As page-turningly suspenseful as ever … nail biting

Full of so many twists and turns that whiplash is a likely outcome. One of the cleverest thrillers I've ever read.

Few books demand to be read in two or three sessions, but [this] is such a treat, grabbing the reader by the throat with its mesmerising crime narrative

Another fabulous story from Cara Hunter and with great narration. I found it took a little while to get into. However, once hooked it was almost impossible to stop listening, even though we know who, how, when, where it happened …or do we???!!!!

Fantastic

I was hooked on this and couldn't stop listening at every opportunity! Such an intricate story that kept me guessing and rethinking what I thought I knew 🤔 One small error I caught exactly when there was 5hrs and 5minutes to go; the mention of Daisy's name which at the time I thought had some context to what was being said, but quickly realised it was an actual mistake by the narrator...or writer 😅 also, don't want to give anything away but it wasn't the ending I'd envisaged 😖 however the whole book was amazing and I can't wait for the next one!!! 🤩👍 The short story was intriguing as well...fantastic! 😁😎

Brilliant storyline 👏 👏👏🤩
