About this listen

International number one best-selling author Trudi Canavan returns with the final novel in the Millennium's Rule series - her most powerful and thrilling adventure yet.

Rielle is now the Maker, restorer of worlds. She has lost count of the number of worlds she has been sent to save.

Tyen has cast off his old identity. No longer a spy, he now attempts to teach new sorcerers and find ways to counteract the war machines that are spreading throughout the worlds.

But when an old enemy brings news of something worse than magically dead worlds and dangerous sorcerers – a threat unlike anything the worlds have faced before – Rielle and Tyen must reunite if they are to have any chance of saving humanity.

Brilliantly told story.

One of the best things I've read recently from the story, to the character development, to the maturity of the romantic relationships. Also, a very satisfying conclusion. I would love a sequal series.

Grrr story rushed ending

Loved the story the ending seemed a little a rushed everything wrapped up to quick and neatly. I didn’t like that the 2 narrators pronounced characters names differently either.

Great series

A great story over 4 books. I just wish the readers talked to each other about pronunciations or talked to the author. It was a bit jarring.

Great story rushed narstion

The story continues and finishes one of my favorite series in a memorable and suitable fashion. The only downside was Hannah norris' narration there were several mistakes in the editing which threw me out of the book. Grant's narration was better but there were a few editing mistakes and a change in pronunciation of words that I found to be annoying.

ending in a high note

Book 3 was pretty meh after 1 and 2 were really good. The final was much better. It had great character development and tension throughout.

quite good

lovely concept, I've enjoyed all of these books. I just wish the confrontation scenes between our heroes and the protagonist had more danger and depth to them. they get defeated a little bit too easily.
leaves it unsatisfying Inn those areas.
otherwise it's beautiful

Finishes off this series nicely

A must read series and a new take on magic that I have seen, good narration would recommend for anyone into fantasy, only complaint is there is a double section in the book that is read hope they edit it out even though it is easy enough to skip over 🙂

Very poor editing.

The first book in the series started out with a fabulous premise, but sequels have gone downhill from there. Increasingly boring with almost no character development, the worst thing to me is the lack of consistency in the rules of magic. They appear to change as the story goes on eg it's stated in the first book that only the strongest sorcerers can travel between worlds, yet it appears that it's really easy and everyone can do it in the last couple of books. Dialogue is quite childish most of the time. I only stuck it out because I wanted to see if Tyen and Rielle ended up together.

The audio still contained the major criticism of different narrators pronouncing the main characters' names very differently, as has occurred throughout the whole audio series. This book, though, seems to have been produced in a rush. Many, many times the narrator stopped and repeated themselves, which should have been edited out but wasn't. The frustrated interjections were amusing when left in. There is at least one passage of 2 to 3 minutes which was repeated, and I am sure that there is a whole section left out (after Rielle becomes ageless again and before they dress for breakfast at Tyen's father's place). I wonder how many more passages were excluded. The release of this audiobook was delayed for around three weeks. It would have been better to have taken an extra three months and fixed all the editing problems.
