About this listen

Cattle ranch owner Jacob and his wife Maria live in a state of happiness, both look forward to the birth of the baby they have longed for until tragedy hits home. Jacob is left alone, grieving and heartbroken with his baby son, whom he can't look at or name because this baby took his beloved Maria away from him. Jacob falls into despair and his ranch is suffering, he can't find it in his heart to care for the child. He decides to advertise for a 'wife' to be the child's mother and take the burden away.

When Elizabeth answers his advert for a bride this has life changing consequences for Jacob and his baby, but will it be for the better? Can Elizabeth soften Jacob's cold heart? And when additional misfortune strikes, how will this affect Jacob and Elizabeth?
