About this listen

An Irish widow with a little boy to support decides that her son would be better off on the plains of the American West than in Ireland.

Connie reluctantly visits the Mail Order Bride agency in Dublin who introduce her to a very upstanding Irish gentleman who has made a name for himself over there. The best thing of all is that children coming along is perfectly acceptable.

Connie and her son, Sean, sail the seas to join Conner out west. However, things are not quite as they first appear. The ranch that was promised is little more than a shack and when the local Sheriff arrives, she finds out there is more to her new husband than she could have ever guessed, and she doesn't like it at all.
