Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Puffin.
The second audiobook in this number one, bestselling series from the creator of Percy Jackson.
Thor's hammer is missing again.
The thunder god has a habit of misplacing his weapon - which happens to be the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost, it has fallen into enemy hands.
Magnus Chase and his friends must find it, fast. If they don't, the mortal worlds will be defenceless against an onslaught of giants, and the Nine Worlds will burn. But the only person who can help them is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

Book is good, but the Narrator is CRAP
The book is great, love Rick Riordan's book.
BUT the NARRATOR... he is unbearble. i would rather read the book then listen to his guys voice and the way he reads the book.
He can't even pronounce the names properly.

Too fast
It is being read too fast, and if I slow it down in the settings, even by one, it sounds like a robot that is having difficulty learning English.

Great story
How did the narrator detract from the book?
This is the 2nd really poor narrator I have had out of my books. It really takes something from the story. He really rushes, he needs to slow down. It was annoying I don't want to listen to it as if I was speed reading. If someone is trying to make books shorter it is a bad idea.

Loved it
Rick Riordan's stories are getting better with every book. This instalment is well written, exciting and spot-on in every respect. I particularly like the inclusion of increasingly diverse characters. Although these teens face supernatural dramas, they have their fair share of normal, teenage issues as well.
My only complaint is that the narrator spoke way too fast. I slowed it down to 0.8 and that was just about right. He also had a really annoying accent, however that is probably a personal bias - I always find American narrators difficult to listen to.
