About this listen

A team of military special operators. A lost race of advanced beings. An invading swarm of land-hungry sentient robots.

An elite team of SAS special operators battle across the multiverse after a plague of land-hungry sentient robots invade today’s Earth. But, when an aircraft carrier-based counterattack goes horribly wrong, it traps the team in an alien universe with a top-secret group who’ve already saved the world twice. After discovering a dark plot that threatens humanity’s very existence, the two groups jump into action, fighting both on the surface and in orbit in a last-ditch effort to stop the enemy before time runs out.

With the fate of two Earths hanging in the balance, the combined teams must pull a lost race of advanced beings off history’s scrapheap, or humanity will join them in oblivion.

Magnitude combines sleek starships, strange aliens, and high-tech weaponry to pit heroes, zeroes, and a smart-assed battlebot against powerful enemies. Fans of Live Die Repeat, Expeditionary Force, the Bobiverse, and Dimension Space will love the thrilling action in this time-travel multiverse war epic.

Show start but once in catches you completely

Started slowly and a little bit lost with the time jumps but once got into it really very listenable. Used it during my long walks. Only thing is say is it can be verbose at times. Some tighter writing could wipe a couple of hours off it - literally! Going to jump into his other books now...

Excellent story but …

Really enjoyed this but it made multiple references to an earlier adventure in hell (no spoilers). Really confused me and I thought I had maybe fallen asleep and missed a heap.

Turns out it is book 1 in this series but also book 4 in a previous series.

Really wish I had known this before listening to this as then all the references would have made sense. No point now going back to read the previous series due to inadvertent spoilers in this book. Shame as I would have otherwise read all 4 in order.

spec ops skipping blindly into danger , just stop

one of the worst books from this author, a 5 hour running battle ????? childish spec operators, way to many popculture references . can I have my credit back and still paste review

Initially hard to follow , but it gets better

This is book 4 - follow up to the 3 prior ones. Initially the book is hard to follow, but then the story streamlines. The plot is a little simplistic for my liking, Missed the wow factor. RC Bray as usual -awesome! I miss the edge of the seat plot, but still a great story. Will read the next book though.
