Publisher's Summary
They call him the Mad Horde King for a reason. Now, she’s his....
Over a year ago, I was ripped away from my human village to serve the Ghertun, a brutal enemy alien race. With the lives of my family at risk, I am tasked to deliver a message to the one place no human has ever gone before: the capital city of Dakkar.
Before I succeed, however, I am captured by a horde king. A horde king of the Dakkari, a merciless barbaric race bred for war and violence that rule over the hostile and unforgiving planet of Dakkar.
And this horde king? He’s the most ruthless and insane of them all - with his scarred face, glowing red eyes, and his wicked, dark grin that hides an even darker past.
I am no one. I am quiet, meek, and fearful...and yet, this fearsome king wants me in his furs. I tremble when he touches me, but he awakens my desire, something I fear I’ll crave...all while I struggle to save my family.
Now, the mad horde king has me in his possession.
I fear he never intends to let me go.

Kakkari blesses a Mad Horde King & a Sorceress❤💜
This book had a fair few secrets kept from each of the lovers though you will understand why, though it kind of frustrated me at the same time..
I absolutely LOVED how different this book was to the previous 2, that being that Both Davik and Vienne had a gift from Kakkari. It was like how Sci and Fantasy came together in 1 book and it just soo damn awesome!!!
I also loved that Davik, who was the Mad Horde King obviously was a different character than your generalised male lead.
The last 1 hour particularly had me on the edge of my seat. This is probably My 2nd or 3rd favourite in the series.
We briefly was Rath Kaltala, Arokan make an appearance but none of the females were present and you didn't really find anything out much to my sadness. I always love repeat appearances by lead roles.
Both narrators did a good job but nothing that stood out outstanding. I was disappointed to learn that Arokan's voice had changed but that happens. Still the dual pov is good!

now this was awesome
I must be weird. all the reviews liked the previous 2 books more than this one, but me..this book was so much better..it had Sci fi and fantasy and supernatural..and a more involved plot.
I was a little frustrated at the "words stuck In my throat " line..there was a lot of that.
it was steamier than the previous books but the storyline of the 1st instalment carries through to an end.
The secrets crawled along, however Daviks wasnt really talked about....I was disappointed about that.
Lia was awesome, her voice for the heroine was perfect.
Aaron is a fave of mine so I'm a bit biased.
it would be interesting to have Violas story written but it doesn't look as though Ms Draven has.
so I guess. all said, this book has more substance than the others and I liked it so much more.

Truly alien world building and complex story line
The Horde King series gets more interesting with every book: the truly alien world building sets this alien romance series apart from others. Even more players and character traits are added in book 3 which composes an intriguing storyline. Although I could have slapped the heroin for her shortcomings, she nevertheless depicts an authentic character - as do all the other figures - villain or hero - in the book. This series only compares with Saving Askara by J. M. Link. The narration is outstanding: both male & female narrators have a wide range of intonation and give all characters a distinct voice.

Loved it!
I stumbled onto this series and I am very glad I did. This story is surprisingly complex and very engaging. I love both of the narrators and their portrayal of the characters. Will definitely be listening to the next book!
