About this listen
A man-made plague has swept the Earth, but a small group survives, along with the green-eyed Crakers - a gentle species bio-engineered to replace humans. Toby, one-time member of the Gods Gardeners and expert in mushrooms and bees, is still in love with street-smart Zeb, who has an interesting past.
The Crakers’ reluctant prophet, Snowman-the-Jimmy, is hallucinating; Amanda is in shock from a Painballer attack; and Ivory Bill yearns for the provocative Swift Fox, who is flirting with Zeb. Meanwhile, giant Pigoons and malevolent Painballers threaten to attack.

Another Atwood classic
As with any good story I was sad to come to the end and say goodbye to the characters.
Brilliant narration which really did justice to the narrative.

Brilliant
I adore this book, and the whole trilogy. I've read them all more than once and still find the story poignant, funny and gripping.

Best story ever
This trilogy is my favourite story of all time. I re-read most of it not long after I finished it the first time. Something I’ve never done before. Thank you Margaret Atwood, this story makes it hard to want to read anything else.

Writing excellent. Production disappointing.
Why does audible have to turn some books into radio plays? This and the previous book have been naively embellished with multiple readers, and in the case of the former book in the series, music. This is such good writing; please don’t reduce it.
