About this listen
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts comes a compelling story about love's powerful ability to break down barriers.
Nothing in Sydney Hayward's background of wealth and privilege prepared her to take the helm of her family's corporation, and her new responsibilities left no room for complications. Mikhail Stanislaski was definitely a complication. Earthy and entirely masculine, Mikhail came from a world utterly different from her own. But the way she felt when he put his strong, work-hardened hands on her was wreaking havoc with Sydney's resolve.

oldie but a goodie
Yes, this is dated and reflects the decade it was written in regarding particularly Sydney's character and life trajectory, but the by play between her and Mikhail is for the most part feels fresh and timeless, and very entertaining. while rushed for a relatively short book, the romance works well and feels real, and has many humorous moments. I really enjoyed Mikhails character and family. the family are quite funny. what really took it the next level, and makes me sure that I would one day relisten, was the narration. almost perfect minus some moments of over-acting. her accents for Mikhail et al were done really well to suit characters (though not actually reflecting a Ukrainian accent, but still slavic none the less).
