About this listen
Gwen Miller may be a human, but she has no problem taking a stand against her own kind. She's going to testify against the teenage boy she saw viciously assault a lone shifter female - and no amount of pressure from the boy's wealthy family will make her back down. But when the harassment turns violent, help comes in the form of a lean, toned wolf with winter-gray eyes.
As a guest at Gwen's inn, shifter enforcer Zander Devlin can't help but notice that the fierce and leggy brunette is in serious trouble. Since she's putting herself at risk for one of his kind, keeping her safe is the least he can do. That's not the only reason Zander wants her close. He desires her, even as the wolf inside him backs away from her. But his feral instincts are hard to keep down, and as they take shape, they're harder for Gwen to resist. Then again, embracing them could be the only thing that could save her life.

Yep she did it again
Once again Suzanne has written an amazing story that keeps you hooked the whole way through. I can not wait to see which of Suzanne's characters will decide their story should be told next but I have already deposited the money in the I don't care what it is box but I am buying it

loved the twist and turns in this storyline
it was good to meet Zander and Gwen. The supernatural was a perfect zig and adding Corey the mix was a clever zag. hope Suzanne is writing more. I've finished the Phoenix and mercury tales and am a bit lost....I'll miss them all

Great Narration.
Have bought this book as I enjoyed it so much. Read through KU whilst also flicking and listening to the audible version too. What a great idea to Read and Listen. Very handy using my headphones when doing stuff around the house. I don’t lose the flow of the story. I have to say the narrator for this book was one of the best with an enjoyable narration. Lots of inflections and I could tell most of the characters apart. BOOK REVIEW One of my favourites in these connected series. An enjoyable read with a good plot. Makes me laugh that humans who behave like this call shifters animals. Liked Gwen, she was a fabulous heroine. Great how her family dynamic worked. Zander was great, loved how he and his wolf behaved. Love how this plays out and nice to see the shifter council actually acting in the correct way. Not sure why Gwen hadn’t told Julie about the creepy therapist. She is not helping her by not telling. Of course he plays into the story eventually. Know what happens to Ezra, Brandt and Nelson, just not absolutely sure what happened to the rotten mother Moira. Think Yvonne dealt with her but would have liked it clarified a bit more. I am reading these in the correct order, not series order. Read through KU whilst also flicking back and forth and listening to the audible version too. Very good narration which takes you along for the ride.

***Into oblivion***
As always another winner from Suzanne Wright wow i am not looking forward for this series to end one bit, i am completely addicted to the Phoenix and Mercury packs. Zander and Gwen story is as magnificent ad those previous ones, it is thrilling, dark and decadent, witty and deliciously sexy as sin. It has everything you need in an amazing story. I have experienced happiness, exvitement, suspense that made me bite my nails and heart break that made me cry, and its all because of Jill Redfield narrative she is without a doubt one of the best female narrators if not the best in the audio world. thank you xoxo
