About this listen

“When we’re dating, you are mine. Even if it’s fake.”

I thought my luck was about to change when my best friend found me an apartment to sublet in the heart of Nashville, TN. As an aspiring singer, this is where I need to be in order to finally get discovered. I’m ready to start my new life until I discover my new neighbor is none other than Stone Walker. Super Bowl winning, NFL receiver. Stone cold fox. My high school crush. And my brother’s ex-best friend—emphasis on the ex.

I know I should probably tuck tail and run, but I don’t. If Stone can handle this new living arrangement then so can I. Besides, neighbors don’t have to talk to each other. Until my best friend comes up with a plan. I should fake date Stone. After all, I have the talent, the drive, and the music. All I need is the visibility. And Stone has that in spades. I thought he would reject the plan, but he’s surprisingly on board. Now he’s showing up at my gigs with flowers and kisses me until my head spins and my knees go weak. And when he scores a touchdown and dances just for me?

I want this relationship to be real. But falling in love wasn’t part of the agreement. Stone walked way from our family once and I don’t think I’m strong enough for him to do it again.

Grab this football star/upcoming singer romance and fall in love today!

By far top 10 swoon worthy books

This book… my golly this book! I don’t know about anyone else but I was giddy, gasping and swooning at every turn, I loved the push and pull between them and how they were always inevitable to each other!

Frustrating

Instead of spending words developing the story or actually creating chemistry between the couple it wastes time repeating the same misunderstandings for 1/3 of the story

Then some of their issues are just magically resolved

Frustrating ended up skipping forward especially on the creeper guy.. how dumb can you get

Goes from we can never be together to I love you without any effort put into the story

Slow, repetitive and lacked character

Was excited to read this after the hype online but was disappointed. Single narrator made dual POV weird. The main storyline that the MMC ‘stole’ the MFC’s brother’s future was so unrealistic it just made listening to that excuse as to why they couldn’t be together so frustrating when it was repeated over and over.
There was never any discussion between them to resolve that history, lacked depth of them forming a strong relationship and a really rushed ending.
I wish I didn’t use a whole credit on this, not worth it. Very amateurish.
