About this listen
Run. Hide. Don’t look back.
Evie Scott went through hell and barely escaped. Now, she does everything she can to remain invisible. To survive. Because if she’s found, she’s dead.
Then she meets Luca…and there’s a spark. But is he worth the risk?
Former Navy SEAL Luca Kirwin is both well-trained and deadly. Recruited into a non-sanctioned government project, he was unknowingly turned into a weapon. Now, he and his team have one mission—shut down the program.
When a new neighbor with haunted eyes moves in next door, his instincts tell Luca he can trust her. But could she be one of the enemies he’s searching for?
As the couple falls deeper, and the danger gets closer, they’ll have to learn to trust in each other…before it’s too late.

wow. just wow, possible triggers for some.
I absolutely loved this. It's a great criss cross between 3 genres, and for me, it was done well.
I know there is a short novella that sets this series up, but I didn't listen. however, it falls into place as I progressed through the book, and I think more will as I listen further.
there was a lot of suspense and angst as the heroine battled her past and present. In fact, all the characters are doing just that.
There were some steamy moments and some romantic times that softened the gritty world of pain and betrayal.
just when I thought it was going to stall, Nyssa weaves in a subtle move that opens up the back end of the book and reveals answers to enlighten me further into the plot.
there were times when I wanted to shake the h at some of her actions, especially at the end and the secrets everyone kept drove me nuts. and then luca, geez. I just wanted to slap him at times.
there are so many gut-wrenching moments in this story, and I held my breath a time or two.
these 2 narrators were new to me, but I thoroughly enjoyed their tone and inflections, and they brought the h and H, along with the others, to life .
I'm so looking forward to Eden. I think I'll have a bit more understanding of the situation.
I just love it.

Great start to a series
This story sucked me in from the beginning. There was a lot of world building but it didn’t feel rushed. The Narrators did such a fantastic job at brining this to life! I am looking forward to the next book
