Publisher's Summary
An unknown bomber is stalking New York City. He is sending Eve Dallas taunting letters promising to wreak mass terror and destruction among the "corrupt masses". And when his cruel web of deceit and destruction threatens those she cares for most, Eve fights back. It's her city...it's her job...and it's hitting too close to home. Now, in a race against a ticking clock, Eve must make the pieces fit - before the city falls.

WHY DOES PEABODY HAVE SUCH
a thoroughly horrible accent and chewy diction when none of her family do?
Pretty good book, but oh dear, the narrator hates Peabody. The only one she hates more is McNab, whom she makes sound like a Valley Girl.

Narrator is improving with the overall inflection.
2022 AUDIBLE REVIEW
I have also started buying the audible books and have listened to the audio book version as well.
The narrator is improving with the overall inflection, or I am getting more used to her narration style, and seems to be improving with separating the characters voices. Roarke has started to actually sound Irish and I can separate the voices of the main characters better.
Though it still really hurt to listen to the part about Anne Malloy. Tear inducing actually.
BOOK REVIEW
Another really wonderful read in this series that has one hell of an ending but one of the good guy/girls is lost.
Eve and Roarke keep working on the emotional side of their marriage. Mostly smooth but a hiccup every now and then.
Peabody’s younger brother Zeke comes to the city and gets embroiled in the hard side of life.
Peabody and McNab tangle big time.
A great ending between Eve and Roarke against money and power-hungry terrorists.
The only thing I really, really hated was what happened to Anne Malloy. It actually hurt reading that part.
Read and reviewed from back of book years ago.
No hardship to reread and review again.

Fabulous
Another fabulous instalment in the series but also a book that would stand alone in it’s own right.

Just couldn't get into it
LOVE these books so much, I listen to every single one. This is the first one that was a bit 'mehh' for me. Performance was great, just felt like the story meandered. But definitely listen to this series, the others are incredible!
