About this listen

Welcome to the volume one of the exciting The Love and Death Political Espionage/Mystery Series, featuring the Harold Gatewood as the main character.

After a successful nine-year professional baseball career, Harold Gatewood-injured, unable to play, and at the crossroads of his professional career and his blessed life-wants to make a comeback. Doctors advise extended rest to see if his injuries can heal, freeing up his first summer from playing baseball since he was eight. To satisfy a lifelong goal, he heads to the Festival of San Toro de Lidia in Spain to watch the "Running of the Bulls".

In addition to the excitement and pageantry of the festival, a whirlwind, danger-packed series of events is waiting for him. Love blossoms with a beautiful model with a mysterious past, and a dangerous present lifestyle. Gatewood is thrust into the middle of the San Toro de Lidia Murder Spree investigation, personal encounters with a sociopathic serial killer, threats from his female companion's former lover, involvement in political espionage activities, and also battles with an international terrorist organization intent on blowing up the stadium that is the home of the festival's beloved bullfights.

Operation Ice Chest attempts to create death and panic at a cultural landmark at the festival. Tussles, and combined efforts with local authorities, the Agence de Renseignement, lead to a series of surprise endings and events that will make Gatewood an "Accidental "Hero", and forever change his life.

These dangerous occurrences will lead Gatewood to his next adventure, and then to many more, as he travels a path that leads to his recognition as "America's greatest secret agent".

I know you'll love it.

Blessings,

Dr. Hal Graff
