About this listen
Number-one New York Times best-selling author Kresley Cole continues her electrifying Immortals After Dark series with this thrilling tale, revealing secrets of the Lore, fierce realm of the immortals....
All fear the enemy of old.
Driven by his insatiable need for revenge, Lothaire, the Lore’s most ruthless vampire, plots to seize the Horde’s crown. But bloodlust and torture have left him on the brink of madness - until he finds Elizabeth Peirce, the key to his victory. He captures the unique young mortal, intending to offer up her very soul in exchange for power, yet Elizabeth soothes his tormented mind and awakens within him emotions Lothaire believed he could no longer experience.
A deadly force dwells within her.
Growing up in desperate poverty, Ellie Peirce yearned for a better life, never imagining she’d be convicted of murder - or that an evil immortal would abduct her from death row. But Lothaire is no savior, as he himself plans to sacrifice Ellie in one month’s time. And yet the vampire seems to ache for her touch, showering her with wealth and sexual pleasure. In a bid to save her soul, Ellie surrenders her body to the wicked vampire, while vowing to protect her heart.
Centuries of cold indifference shattered.
Elizabeth tempts Lothaire beyond reason, as only his fated mate could. As the month draws to a close, he must choose between a millennia-old blood vendetta and his irresistible prisoner. Will Lothaire succumb to the miseries of his past - or risk everything for a future with her?

Wow
All her books are top notch but a few stand above the rest and lothaire is one... Roberts voice for both Lothaire and Ellie are bang on and it’s a perfect mix of saucy sexual and laughter with tension thrown in.

Brilliant
Oh wow i have read Lothaire a few times and now just done listening to the audio version and still get the same reaction which blown away, i love The IAD series and can't get enough of them. Lothaire "Leo and Elizabeth "Ellie" Story is amazing, makes me wish of my own Mr right who would die for me (sighs)
The only complaint i have is Robert Petkoff portrayal of Lothaire voice is a bit hard to listen too, he sounds like an old man instead of a young russian man, oh well no one is perfect, i still love u Robert just a bit of advice study russian accent better :P thanks

simply the best
this, in my opinion is the cleverest book kresley has written. I could not predict the how's and why's as I did with previous books. I could not put this book down. lothaire has been in the series for so long I was excited for his him and his realisations which answe red so many questions. and the humour that deadpan Ned throughout the book and me laughing..... so unexpected of a book titled lothaire.....just like Lizabet......I'm in awe of your writing kresley cole. and I love series books because I love and hate to leave characters once I've read the novel...but with this I meet them all over again.....thank you and please don't leave me hanging with the end of this book 😊😊😊😊😊

Always My Favourite IAD Book.
Robert Petkoff. What a narrator! He took a superb book and moved it into the stratosphere through performative panache. Lothaire has always embraced his moniker of The Enemy of Old throughout the series and I waited for this book as the series progressed. He didn’t let me down. Now, through Petkoff’s dynamic performance, he and Elizabeth slash Ellie slash Lizvetta we’re alive in every sense of the word.
If you like PNR, fantasy and romance with stellar world building and multidimensional characters, even secondary characters pop, a constant throughout this series, this is one hell of a series and Lothaire is the best of the best.
Lothaire equals Vampire heavyweight meets resilient, no-nonsense human bride with a ton of humour, action, pathos. some Lore wheeling and dealing and the strongest storytelling.

One of my fav series
Robert Petkoff voices the characters so well I get lost in his story telling. Even his feminine voices are amazing. He has to be one of my favourite narrators and this one of my fav series. 10/10 for both. Hot and Sexy

The story was ok but narration spoiled it for me.
The narrator has a nice voice, but his voice for Lothaire sounds like that of an old man, and his female voice sounds a bit cringe-worthy at times. It's just not a very good female voice. He does make really good dramatic effects though.

First hour and last 3 hours were good, but middle lacking Kresley magic. Still looking forward to next book.
