About this listen
War has a way of following some people....
John Eric Carver and Shrek are a retired Navy SEAL war dog team, now living in the mountains outside of San Diego. Both man and dog thought their life was now settled, finding peace on the 40-acre ranch they had moved to. But life, and a mutated virus, changed all that.
Now, they have to survive a worldwide pandemic. Taking refuge in a nearby Boy Scout camp, he leads a group of teens and their parents as they are forced to deal with infected creatures that are rapidly consuming the world. Will John and Shrek survive another war, or will this be the end of the line for the SEAL team?

pretty nice
it's quite different and refreshing for the post apocalyptic genre. I would recommend it to anyone who likes the post apocalypse stuff.

Not just another zombie saga
Good action, didn't drag much. Characters likeable. I really enjoyed the dog-voiced parts, was worried I wouldn't. Looking forward to reading more. Narrator was pretty good, few parts where I didn't understand a word he used, but those were infrequent. He had a nice voice. One of the women's voices was a bit grating but hey. You can get that with the best. Oh and he did yell sometimes when I thought it was probably not really what the plot called for. Still recommend overall. And story, as I said, was great. So far the first book is different enough and well written enough to distinguish it from the umpteen thousand other zombie sagas being churned out.

An exciting yarn.
I think this is more for a young reader but still enjoyable. Have a go.

I could not get past the narrator. (sorry)
I hate to say this but the narrator was not very good. it was like he is just getting into the narrator business and he sounded like some one reading and not telling a story. I know you have to start somewhere and in the future he may be awesome, just not this time round.
