Publisher's Summary

With a knife in his gut, Rowan figured he was destined to become just another corpse littering the slums of Taureen.

So he was fairly surprised to wake up in the back of a moving wagon with a couple of adventurers. Turns out that Rowan had been given something most street rats can only dream of—a second chance.

With only a sword, a spell book, and enough gold for tuition, he is thrust into a school for aspiring adventurers. A world full of haughty nobles, scions of wealthy families, and various other types of people he used to steal from.

Here, Rowan must vie for his place among students who have been diving in their family-owned dungeons for years, their bodies filled with dense mana instead of tavern scraps and the occasional pilfered apple pie. He will have to fight, study, and keep his true past a secret.

Because Faebrook Academy is his second chance. His last chance.

About the series: Follow Rowan, a lowly street rat, on his journey to becoming a legendary adventurer in a world where diving monster-filled dungeons infuses your body with mana and helps you climb from lowly bronze tier all the way to the fabled platinum tier. But first, he has to graduate.

Great progression through the story No dull bits

Loved it and looking forward to book two.
Another magic college variant. But a good one at that. Surprisingly ending leaving plenty to do and grow in book two

Unexpectedly engaging.

After listening and reading to many weak MC to overpowered protagonist this book is a wonderful breath of fresh air. The story line is engaging and interesting, the characters well fleshed out and the book is written excellently. My favourite part of the book however is the power scaling of Rowan and his peers. Also the gentle world building while keeping the story contained is excellent, really looking forward to the next installment!

Super boring, super slow

Fucking Mc in this book studies history in school and gives history report, the. Scores 60%.....

Boring as fuck, intro is not bad but after 15% of the start of the book, filler is like 70%, will starve but wont see any action at all or fucking magic...

Author tries to bore you to death.
Also he takes a giant diagreeea dump on you with Mc suddenly magically getting super big MP pool lol... lets not question our luck, which is shit btw

Pathetic

needs a real editor

This is an unfocused, meandering mess. The flip flopping, nonsensical characterisation and random dropped story points make this a real disappointment. Don't waste a credit
