About this listen
Poirot had been present when Jane bragged of her plan to ‘get rid of’ her estranged husband. Now the monstrous man was dead. And yet the great Belgian detective couldn’t help feeling that he was being taken for a ride.
After all, how could Jane have stabbed Lord Edgware to death in his library at exactly the same time she was seen dining with friends? And what could be her motive not that the aristocrat had finally granted her a divorce?

A good Christie
Brilliant narration by Hugh Fraser as always. His perfect modulation is both interesting while encouraging a good night’s sleep.

Predictably unpredictable
As expected, Hercule Poirot does not miss. At many points in the story I found myself assured I knew who the murder was, only to have the door slammed in my face by Papa Poirot's expert deductions. Although this was not one of my favourite books featuring the great detective, it's still well worth the read for anyone who loves a good mystery and shocking reveals.

Another brilliant and dark Christie
I’ve heard people talk about Christie novels as ‘light’ literature, but this one has a protagonist with the dark overtones of a sociopath. Beautifully read by Hugh Fraser (again!)
