About this listen

A 55-year-old professor of physics at Harvard University, Mark Peterson creates a time machine and uses it to travel back to 1973 and revisit his first love, Lena Mendleson.

When traveling to his past, he does not arrive as a double of himself but takes over the body of his younger self which goes into a limbo state. Mark gradually begins to feel and act like the boy he once was, reexperiencing the intensity of his first love as his younger self slowly reclaims its body.

Mark plays it safe by planning to spend just 10 days in the past because if he does not return in three weeks, he will lose himself in time, thus altering his future forever. Because of an unforeseen problem, Mark is solely dependent on his friend and colleague Ron, a fellow professor at Harvard, to bring him home. As the days tick by and the point of no return approaches, Mark awaits his fate.
