About this listen
Last year, DS Katie Maguire and her team destroyed the biggest drug trafficker in Cork. So how is the city's drug trade at an all-time high? Meanwhile, a spate of violent attacks which leave victims severely disabled has brought confidence in the Garda to an all-time low.
As Katie investigates, she realises that the two cases might be connected. Someone is using brain-damaged victims to smuggle drugs into the country. And the only way to find out more is to go in undercover....

Not for the faint hearted!
This is not for the faint hearted! I had to stop it a few times to catch my breath, and other times I had to fast forward it. It is very confronting, but also extremely well told.

Compelling
Another page turner.
I hope there are more in the series soon.
I listned to all 7 books and this narrator is the best.

Wonderful narration. Awful story
After this book I’m done. I’m out. I can’t handle anymore of the graphic violence and the impression that Katie thinks and acts like a man. I notice that Aioffe will not be narrating the next book so that clinches it.

Bit far fetched
I’ve loved all of this series so far but to be honest this was a bit far flung to be believable.
I still enjoyed it and it kept me riveted but I couldn’t help rolling my eyes a bit at the stupidity of some of the characters.
Aoife McMahon as always was superb.

Far fetched
This book is going back. So far fetched and dark.
I've enjoyed the series up until now, but couldn't get past the 3rd chapter.
The narrator was the only positive thing about this book.
