About this listen
The first novella set in the universe of James S. A. Corey's epic Captive's War series.
Humanity's war is eternal, spread across the galaxy and the ages. Humanity's best hope to end the endless slaughter is the Livesuit forces. Soldiers meld their bodies to the bleeding edge technology, becoming something more than human for the duration of a war that might never end.

Even better than the “main” book
I really enjoy the Mercy of Gods, but this was even better. Combat, loyalty, aliens and the unavoidable reality of relativistic physics all interwoven into a story that I wish was much longer. Fantastic novella, well told by one of the best narrators in the business.

For any mid career professional, this is a stark reminder that your career, in the end, takes everything…. Superbly written and read
Just like slipping on a livesuit and entering the brainslip once more….

I think this books universe is going to eventually be known as one of the sci-fi greats
The lore of this series universe that is being built is gritty and brutal, I hope more short form stories like this are released to flesh out the parts of the universe between the main books. didn't expect the end.... brutal

A truely amazing little book
This is the type of book I've been craving. Good storytelling, an interesting world, just enough words to describe what we need each scene... I'll come back to this one regularly.
