About this listen
Live Ready is a book about dangerous people - about predators who live in our midst and who violate our social contract with impunity. It's also a book about navigating a world filled with such people. It shows you how to recognize them, how to understand their methods and motivations, how to keep them at a safe remove from yourself and your loved ones (and when that's not possible, how to defeat them). As Louis Pasteur once remarked, "Chance favors the prepared mind." Live Ready offers a way to prepare our minds and bodies to live in a world full of risk and dangerous people - and when necessary, to become dangerous ourselves.

Well presented and digestible advice. Really got me thinking.
I got on to this book after hearing a podcast interview of Sam on The Art of Manliness podcast.
Sam makes some compelling arguments for unveiling your eyes to the reality of safety, and your ability to influence outcomes. I've ordered a hard copy of the book for reference.
I found the pacing of the book to be good, and the overall length is about right for the content. Sam makes it clear what the objectives of each chapter are: he doesn't try and oversell what can be provided in book format bit gives lots of nuggets to think about and act on.
my only negative critique of the audio book is that there were a few mentions of an accompanying PDF but it isn't actually available on audible. maybe this can be addressed.
overall a good use of my audible credit, and I'll be recommending it to others in my circle.
