About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Am I a murderer? You tell me . . .
You probably already know my name. Lucy Chase, the woman who doesn’t remember murdering her best friend.
Even though they couldn’t find enough evidence to charge me, I know you all think I did it. That’s OK. I realise being found wandering the streets the next day covered in her blood wasn't a great look.
Believe me, I’m as frustrated as you are. I’d love to know if I’m a murderer – it’s the sort of thing you really should know about yourself, isn’t it?
And now, thanks to true-crime podcast Listen for the Lie, I finally have the chance to find out. But will I be able to live with myself if it turns out it was me?
And if it wasn’t, will digging into the secrets of the night I forgot make me the next target of whoever did?
Perfect for fans of HOW TO KILL YOUR FAMILY by Bella Mackie, NONE OF THIS IS TRUE by Lisa Jewell and MURDER IN THE FAMILY by Cara Hunter.

Utterly additive!
I really enjoyed the narrator’s performance and the cheeky dialogue in addition to the page turning story telling. Pretty good twist, satisfying ending.

The BEST murder mystery I’ve read in a long time - a refreshing and imaginitve iteration of the amnesia trope. Beautifully written

Impressive, fascinating and addictive
I could not stop listening to this amazing piece of work, saying story does not do it justice. I’m not sure I can leave a review that gives enough credit to the skill of the writer, I feel like listening in audio certainly enhanced the experience particularly given the podcast aspect, the theme music associated and also the talented narrators . The characters are intense, the story is intense. Certainly one experience you won’t want to miss.

So entertaining!
I really enjoyed this book. the storyline was unique as was the delivery. It was a great change up to the typical domestic thrillers and had a comedic tone which was great fun and delivered well by the narrator. can't wait to see what this author does next

Brilliant listen!
Made to be an audio book. I don’t think it would hit the same on other mediums. Great story and the podcast, with music, adds the entertainment
