Publisher's Summary

Most people would describe Katherine Berger as a responsible girl with a big heart, a loyal friend who takes care of those close to her, and the possessor of a wicked sense of humor. There was something about her that most people didn't know.

"My name is Kat Berger, and I love porn."

When 25-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expects is to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.

Capturing the real human factor

MZ always seems to have this ability to capture the things that make us human. Her writing is swift and smart with the story revealing itself each chapter.

Colourful characters

A friend suggested I give Lingus a try, and it's been quietly waiting on my Audible account for some time now. But I'm thrilled I finally decided to dive in!
This book turned out to be such a delightful and effortless read. It's refreshing how there's no overwhelming drama to contend with, aside from the occasional exasperation with the characters for not getting together sooner. But overall, it's a charming and light-hearted story with no major conflicts to weigh it down.
There were countless moments where I found myself bursting into laughter, along with plenty of instances that felt incredibly relatable. Every character was endearing in their own way, making it easy to breeze through the pages without a second thought.
Happy reading x

Callie dalton queen

The story is not as good as Mariana’s other titles but honestly the way she greatest dialogue and banter is so superior to anyone else! I always find myself grinning like an idiot during the conversations she creates.
I always end up wanting to be friends with the characters! Callie Dalton is one of the best narrators I’ve ever heard!

Very light hearted and low on drama

I first read the ebook for Lingus back in 2014, when it initially had the dog on the cover. It's been so long since I read it, I decided to reread via audiobook. Lingus is a very easy story to listen to. Very light hearted and low on drama, of course a slow developing romance, and a close circle of friends who all enjoy each other's company.

Kat gets dragged along to a porn convention by her bestie, where she meets Tristan. She soon learns that Tristan is a porn star known as Robbie Lingus, and even though she is attracted to Tristan from the start she focuses on their newly found friendship........hello slowburn!

Kat does struggle with insecurity/jealousy due to Tristan's persona as Robbie - it is evident in the negative thoughts/comments she has regarding other women at the conventions he attends, or women he has worked with in the past. She does realise she needs to accept his past and move on.

Not my fav read by this author, some of her other books I have LOVED, still liked this one though.

It’s ok

I’ve read a few of Mariana’s books now and this is just ok. It doesn’t compare to her other so if this is your first book by the author, please read one of her other books (Kulfi) as well.
This is ok, I did still enjoy it.

So disappointed

How can this be the same author who wrote the fabulous Kulti?!

This novel was sweet, with a lot of sex in the second half. Personally, I would have preferred some plot instead. None of the interesting scenarios I imagined that could happen, did. It was boring, cliched and never made me smile, let alone laugh.
I am sorry that I forced myself to finish it, thinking, surely something will save it in the finale? Well, no.
