About this listen
The second book in the DI Eva Harris series, this is a gripping, multi-layered thriller that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats.
In an abandoned warehouse, a schoolboy makes a grisly discovery: 96 containers, each filled with exquisitely preserved bodily remains.
Detective Eva Harris knows the line between life and death better than most. Having survived a near fatal encounter with the criminal underworld once before, she is still haunted by the repercussions of her actions - and fearful of the whole truth emerging.
Faced with the crime scene, she is forced to contemplate a difficult question: is this the work of a lone psychopath - or is there a more complicated truth hidden in this killer’s art?
Her search for the killer takes her across Europe, from the upper echelons of society’s glittering elite to the dark and tangled web of the underworld - and finally, to the very limits of humanity.

bit laboured
narrator a bit better than in the first Eva Harris book, her reading flowed a bit better, but still some odd punctuation breaks in the narration. overall the book was enjoyable although the last few finale chapters dragged a bit for me.

Another compelling story by the author
Another great and compelling story from this author. The narrator is the same again although did seem to read the book it a slightly less staccato fashion so only had to speed her up to 1.1x this book!!
The storyline is good and interesting.
Def worth a listen but don’t forget to speed it up a bit for your sanity.

Great story but narrator doesn't do it justice
The plot was fascinating and I thought it played out like a James Bond movie! However, I thought the narrator was very mediocre. No attempt to vary the voices of characters and some odd punctuation at times. Richard Armitage as the narrator would have made this so much more exciting.

Detective British Style
Mr Goodman weaves another web of story lines with believalbe characters and continuous action. Not really sure about the ending for this one?

Lifesign - don't bother
Disappointing, wanted something as good as first book in DI series.
Such a weird plot one just can't get into the story. Very clunky and had to stop listening and trash the book.
