Heart warming, not funny.
At first I was disappointed by this book because if you like Michael McIntyre then you are usually accustomed to laughing uncontrollably. This book is much more an autobiography than a comedy book. Michael's reading is much more sedate than his usual larger than life stage appearances. However if you accept that this is more of a life story book then it becomes more enjoyable. Michael's story (especially near the end) is heart-warming, and told in an amusing (if not laugh-out-loud) manner.

Brilliant!
This audio book provided much laughs on my commute to and from work - the perfect way to start and my working day! Michael's impersonations are hilarious and he tells his story with much humility... a great listen - a must-listen for any fan. Thanks for the belly laughs Michael... I had more than a few people on my train ask what I was listening to!

insight into the hardest job in showbiz
Its comforting to always hear stories of struggling people make it big it gives us hope, but McIntyre makes it funny and tangible for everyone working towards goals, or those who havent found their goal yet a bit of a nudge and glimmer that things will fall into place eventually.

a great listen
I loved listening to Michael narrate his story about his pathway to success. I was expecting laughs but came away with not only that but a greater appreciation of life as a comedian starting out.

Such a likeable fellow
Love watching Michael's shows on You tube. He is such a funny man. Have enjoyed listening to him read his book. Such a likeable chap.
