About this listen

Adults on the autism spectrum rarely have access to services once they age out of the school system. Many therapies are simply not appropriate in terms of teaching these adults the practical skills they need to succeed in various aspects of life. Many on the spectrum struggle with forming and building relationships, finding and maintaining jobs, and managing their day-to-day lives.

Life Coaching, specifically for adults on the spectrum or anyone who considers themselves neurodivergent, can provide individuals, other coaches, parents, and professionals the tools and skills necessary to guide these amazing people to success.

One-on-one coaching can be expensive, and so this book was designed to make these methods and strategies available to everyone in an affordable and concise resource. Everyone can benefit from this self-help book, which takes you on a practical journey through building relationships from the ground up, developing a rewarding career, managing your day-to-day life effectively, and discovering your true potential.

Focus from title of your book

This book is really a guide for young teenagers. It definitely not for adults with larger issues and responsibilities.
The examples seem to be repeated. The trip away on a plane was largely over exaggerated and monotonous. The next example again goes step by step. Repetition of instructions takes the listener to close off.

Audience is not clear

Even though the book title contains the word adult, two chapters are dedicated to school kids and children. Other chapters are targeted towards other life coaches. When it is about adults on the ASD spectrum the content is quite good and it personally help clarify some things I often feel such as finding airports stressful.

Informative and Helpful

Hearing a neurotypical person speak about autism in an inclusive and accepting way was great to hear. Some terminology felt dated in 2023 but changes in this field are rapid as accomodations become mainstream and the harmful impacts of masking are still being discovered. Nonetheless, this is a useful resource for those who seek to survive and thrive in this world before trying to transform it.

Written by someone who thinks you need fixing

The writer thinks she is doing a good thing by teaching us how to conform to society’s expectations of social behaviour. Considering that she is an empath, she should know how much of what people say is not what they feel. Our current society is based on maintaining this deception and success comes from learning how to tell people what they want to hear. How about we address the flaws in society instead and shed this artificial conditioning to respect and appreciate difference so that everybody can feel safe to express themselves authentically
