Filo's got girl problems!

But at least they won't track him down at the Show, where he's working on his uncle's show-bag stall. Or will they? And talking about disappearing, what's happened to his Uncle Mike?

Suddenly Filo finds himself in charge of the stall, and he's almost out of the hot Show favorite: the Licorice All Shorts special.

Girls. Show-bag chaos. Can it get worse?

Editorial reviews

Filo, the harried narrator of Margaret Clark’s buoyant and fast-paced Licorice Shorts, is a boy with a lot of problems: girl problems, work problems, licorice problems...sometimes it seems like there’s no end to the stresses stacking up in his life!

Well-known and much-loved Australian voice actor Stig Wemyss captures the wry humor inherent in this quick, light story, juggling Filo’s issues with ease, and injecting his performance with exactly the kind of relatable emotionality which Clark seems to have intended. Wemyss isn’t afraid to get a little whacky as he leads listeners through a story which any young person - whether they’ve worked in a show-bag stall or not - will sympathize with, even as they laugh and laugh.
