About this listen

When a North Korean General has a private conversation with himself in his office, the United States intelligence services intercept it. The conversation starts a series of events that reach the highest levels of the U.S. government. As a result, they bring a Marine colonel out of retirement to meet secretly with the general. The nuclear submarine USS Concord, an embarked platoon of Marine Raiders, and the enigmatic leader of an underground Christian church in the north support him.

While the initial goal was to convince the North Korean General to defect or spy for the U.S., local events soon supersede the mission, placing Colonel Daniel Sutton in extreme danger. A corrupt and ruthless regional head of the Ministry of State Security pursues him. With nothing more than the principles taught by Jesus and a belief in the freedom of the individual, Colonel Sutton’s journey deep inside the Hermit Kingdom changes into much more than the intended meeting. This results in an opportunity for the two opposing men to understand their political systems, the nature of totalitarianism, and the real meaning of sacrificial love.
