About this listen

Revenge is coming, and her name is Harriet Blue....

The third novel in the best-selling series featuring Detective Harriet Blue.

It’s not easy being a good detective...when your brother’s a serial killer.

Sam Blue stands accused of the brutal murders of three young students, their bodies dumped near the Georges River. Only one person believes he is innocent: his sister, Detective Harriet Blue. And she’s determined to prove it. Except she’s now been banished to the outback town of Last Chance Valley (population 75), where a diary found on the roadside outlines a shocking plan - the massacre of the entire town. And the first death, shortly after Harry’s arrival, suggests the clock is already ticking.

Meanwhile, back in Sydney, a young woman holds the key to crack Sam’s case wide open. If only she could escape the madman holding her hostage....

love it.

Excellent. love that it is based on the NSW South Coast. It's the only time I have wished for more descriptive writing as Narooma is my fav place .

That ending...

I have loved all the Harriet Blue series, but I hated the ending.

So disappointing

awesome story and fantastic performance by Federay

awesome story and fantastic performance by Federay Holmes.

The variety of characters, developing story and sprinkling of humour from Tox Barnes made it hard to put down.

tedious at best

while I love a crime drama this just was soooo boring... fiction is supposed to entertain but the long winded drawn out fight scenes the ridiculous premise that Harry and her antagonist would play out the tiredest of mind game tropes... kill me now

I have to put it out there... when a great writer like fox is influenced by the patterson genre it makes a potentially good story into a diatribe...

Inauthentic and disappointing

I came to this audiobook after listening to Jane Harper's "The Dry" and Chris Hammer's "Scrublands" - both great detective stories with authentic Australian characters. In contrast "Liar Liar" was a real disappointment. It felt like a second-rate American tale with Louisiana placenames replaced by the names of Australian towns. Not a great story and certainly no Aussie feel to it.
