About this listen
She’s looking for a fresh start...she finds him.
Nylah Walker knows what it’s like to be protected. You don’t grow up with five brothers without having someone close by, watching your back at all times. She craves independence, and Cradle Mountain is her fresh start. Her new beginning. But fate has a terrible sense of humor, because during her first shift at a new job, not only does she meet overprotective, sexy former marine Liam—she also finds herself in unimaginable danger.
Liam Shore knows danger. He lived and breathed it during his time in special forces, then again as a prisoner to Project Arma. He thought living in a small mountain town would mean leaving peril behind. But suddenly, he and his friends are hunted men. Protecting his team is his first priority...until the danger overflows onto others.
When the threat shifts its sight to the new woman in town—the one with ice-blue eyes who captured his attention without even trying—Liam is determined to protect her, despite how hard Nylah tries to resist her savior. Because losing Nylah isn’t an option.

great ending to a series
What a way to end a series. I've been waiting for Liam for ages, and Nyssa didn't disappoint.
The suspense in this book is awesome, and just when I thought I had it figured, another thing turned up. I was so excited to keep listening.
The romance is swoon worthy, and the steam was up there.
It was wonderful to hear past favourites, especially the marble alphas.
This plotline was wrapped in every type of emotion, and at one stage, I wanted to shake the H, and even the h a few times, but i just loved Nyla's sass. And it was all for a reason, which turned out to be more angsty and scary than ever.
The closer to the end, the wiser I got, I just couldn't wait to see if I was right. But at the same time, I didn't want Liam to end. It was just brilliant.
The pace was so good. The twists are so clever.
There are always some parallels in some form or another that resemble the world today, and this book isn't any different. It made me angry and frustrated and sad all at once.
Everything was so well put together and tied up nicely. I'm happy for the HEA, but I'm sad it's the end.
I was wondering where Nyssa was going to go with her story, seeing as she wrote the final action scene the way she did. But I shouldn't have been concerned.
It was an absolute boon to have Jason and Emma narrate. They breathed life into all the characters. They are a 1 click go-to narrators for me.
