Someone has a secret. A secret worth killing for....

When a series of suicides, linked to the Wellness Spirit Centre, turn out to be murder, it brings together DCI Whitney Walker and forensic psychologist Dr Georgina Cavendish for another investigation. As the clock ticks down, the only way forward is to infiltrate the centre. But the outcome is disastrous, in more ways than one.

Critic Reviews

"Narrator Clare Corbett flawlessly creates the accents and setting of Lenchester, England, while introducing Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker and her polar opposite, psychologist Georgina Cavendish.... Corbett's best creation is pathologist Clare Dexter whose eccentricities add a bit of levity. The well-rendered step-by-step procedural, with its gripping conclusion, makes for an exceptional listen." (AudioFile Magazine, review of Cavendish & Walker)

Sally Rigby

Her stories are usually a light, easy read and this was no exception. Very good narration

Good but lacking suspense

Not the best in the series. Cults are fascinating and a rich source of content for a book. However, the author gave a very bland view on this cult without any real mystery or suspense. Dull!

Loving the series!

Thoroughly enjoyed the first four books and looking forward to number five. Would definitely recommend the series to readers who like detective stories that have strong main characters with some great repartee thrown in.

Not a bad start to a series

I quite enjoyed this first outing by Sally Rigby. I hope in future the two main characters develop, each of them have good self awareness which provides an opportunity for both of them to grow as people. They are polar opposites and can learn from each other. The storyline was good although it became obvious a bit too early who was guilty of the murders. One thing I didn’t like was the very tired storyline which I think most of us crime readers are so tired of is the ‘boss’ constantly riding the lead detective. It’s so hackneyed and I much prefer authors who can write without this tired theme. Overall a promising start. I’m listening to second in the series now. I’m not all that keen on the narrator mostly because of the posh voice she attempts. It’s very false
