An Arch Magus dies, only to find himself in the body of a young man in a medieval kingdom. He finds out that he is the second son of a Duke, exiled to a desolated town by his own family. Shackled by the notorious reputation of his new shell, he tries his best to develop his domain, implementing new policies and innovations, leading his subjects to prosperity. Addictive

A most enjoyable and compelling story - rather predictable but I loved it nevertheless. Totally addictive.

Interesting twist on goals after a reincarnation.

Story- Greatest wizard of his own era, reincarnated into the body of a devious and problematic noble. Lark will shape not only his new life, but also the life’s of the people around him as he builds up the lowly rundown village from the ground up.

Performance- Tom taylorson does a fantastic job at creating a number of unique voices to really bring this story to life with an array of colourful personalities.

pretty good book

this book/books were quite good, not amazing or groundbreaking but definitely good. my only gripe is with the length of each book in this series (as i went on to read the 2 written books after this). and if that's the only real criticism i can think of then it's doing well. its good that the first 2 books were bundled together though as it sort of fixes even that issue

Pulp Fantasy done well.

This series is a good representation of Pulp Fantasy, easy to digest especially for newer Fantasy Readers. The story is fun, and it is a nice change to have an OP protagonist rather than a whiney youth trying to avoid their destiny yadda yadda. It is light reading / listening done well (excellent narration) and well worth your time.
