Short book, excellent message, delivered very well
James Kerr tells a compelling story, and does so in a way that is accessible to those with only the barest knowledge of football or the teams.
This book was recommended by an instructor on a recent course. Usually I go for longer Audiobooks and buy short books hard copy. But I was pleasantly surprised how jam packed this one is.
Many of the lessons I could translate from the field to the office, and I think that was the point - use simple lessons learned over many years in a narrow area and find the parts that are consistent. Those consistencies translate. Unlike many flash-in-the-pan commercial success stories, the All Blacks legacy speaks for itself, particularly the way they came back after much soul searching and work.
Definitely one to listen to again, when back in the office and trying to build the new team in 2025.
Peace.
