Publisher's Summary

Arrested. Wrongfully accused. Sentenced to 10 years.
But the steel bars release me early.

After serving half of my time for a crime I didn’t commit, they grant me parole - with a very short leash. My second chance at freedom begins now, and I won’t waste it. I should’ve been paying more attention.

Ambushed. Captured. Stranded.
When I wake in the depths of a snowy forest, all seems lost. I’ve been left alone in the wilderness with zero means of escape. Until someone rouses beside me.

I recognize Blakely Cross instantly, yet she’s barely more than a stranger. Now she’s stuck with me in the worst possible place, as collateral damage.

Blakely blames me, and rightfully so. This entire situation is my fault. Our destinies are inadvertently twisted together by forces far larger than us. Whether she hates me or not, we need each other to stay alive.

Cope. Adapt. Persevere.
They tossed us out to be buried, but underestimated our determination. The bond we’re building will overcome the harshest conditions.
And we’re not willing to surrender.

good, but unrealistic.

synopses: boy is in gaol for a crime he is framed for, girl is a social worker at gaol but they never talk. boy is kidnapped and drugged, and for some weird reason so is girl. the kidnappers helicopter them away, the boy and girl then wake up in the Canadian wilderness, in winter gear and with some supplies. the boy, although being in IT, knows how to survive in the wilderness. girl, dispite being kidnapped, drugged and left in the wilds with a convicted criminal, does not freak out but instead spends her time looking at his arse and wanting to jump his bones. surprise, surprise, they find a canoe in the middle of nowhere, travel along the river, have intimacy in a cave (they checked there weren't any perverted bears wanting an eyeful first). they are rescued because the Canadian forestry service is awesome and saw smoke so can to check it out. they are back in civilisation, boy is put under house arrest while the cops scratch their heads and say stuff like, " well you might have been framed, since someone kidnapped you and dumped you in the middle of nowhere". girl and boy have some angst riddle separation anxiety and then she finds out that birth control is only effective when you actually take it..... there's more action, like a wild wolf and a near drowing but this is the general gist.
not a bad listen, it was a no thinker, so could just have it playing while I was doing other stuff.
narration was well done 👏
