Inconsistent - doesn't live up to the Title
Many parts of this program are just recycled from previous editions/releases, especially in the 2nd part of the program which reverts back to very low level beginner Spanish. So, I don't recommend buying if you have already purchased their popular Beginner/intermediate programs in the past.
Once the program approaches the infamous profanity filled section (which to me is quite useless - other than to just listen and recognize some of these words and phrases in case you hear it in a movie for instance) they, for some reason, veer away from the original format which works where the narrator starts slowly and methodically to teach you the construction of the sentences and prompts you to repeat several times. In this section full of profanity, the narrator simply articulates some complex phrases, and then what? The onus is on the listener to memorize them instantly? Good luck with that. I found it odd that they chose to depart from the usual teaching methods in this section (covering Spanish, Mexican and all the other Latin curse words), as simply memorizing isn't going to work when the program is using imperative and subjunctive phrases also (intermediate/advanced). And finally , they finish off the program in the second half . reverting back to A1 low / survival level Spanish? Very inconsistent content and frustrating at times. First half was decent and approached promising levels, but kind of fell off a cliff in the end.
Grade: C- - Useful for beginners / very low intermediate
