Publisher's Summary
"So I thought I might take up paragliding. You know, buy one on eBay and just jump off the cliff one morning."
Emily Willows is middle-aged, widowed, wealthy, and bored. When she makes those flippant remarks to her son over coffee one Friday, she has no inkling that within a few hours she will be facing the most terrifying situation of her life. Nor could she have guessed that she will be confronting it with the enigmatic young woman who moved in next door a few months ago and who has hardly spoken a word to her since. And neither of them has realized yet that after this meeting, their lives will never be the same again.

Feisty retiree has unexpected visitors
When Emily Willow had started her birthday morning she had not expected to be chased through the countryside by gang wielding villains.
She would never complain to her son Robert again that life was rather boring at times!

Surprisingly good, gripping!
I’m a big Peter Grainger fan but this was quite different from the DC Smith series. I was a bit hesitant at the start but it wasn’t long before I was totally involved with the story and couldn’t stop listening. Different, but just as good

Fine
After the DC series this one fell a little flat. I think the narration let it down but the pace of the story distracted me enough to get to the end of the story with some enjoyment . But where do you go from DC & that narration...only down I guess

Enjoyable
I enjoyed both the story and the performance of this book. The narration was matter of fact like Lane.

Enjoyable
Subtle character development with an interesting unfolding story of a seemingly mild widow and her mysterious neighbour.

Surprisingly good
I liked the storyline, the wit and the two main characters. Some readers complained about the narration but I though it was excellent.

Interesting and contrasting characters. Think I will enjoy more of Willows and Lane. Ready to start another.
Only disappointment was the narrator’s attempt at a Scots accent but didn’t distract from the story.

Oh hell giveUs a professional narrator
The worst thing about this book is the narrator Henrietta Meire. What a shame they didn’t get a narrator who is professional this girls voice is thin and without timbre.
I had to give it up before the finish because I just want to slap her.

Not what I expect from Peter Grainger
I found the book very hard to listen to. The narrator's voice grates and is extremely annoying. The story was uninteresting really and it was nearly a DNF.
