An unusual heroine, Fiona Hawthorn grew up running free. Without a mother to restrain her, she spent her days riding her horse across her father's fields, or swimming like a sea nymph in the upper meadow lake. Trouble is, inside a prim and proper Regency sitting room Fiona is bound to overturn the teapot or accidentally trip the footman. Her notorious Aunt Honore decides to take the hoyden in hand, but amidst the strictures of the beau monde, Fiona is a fish out of water.
When she was younger, Lord Wesmont was her hero. Sadly, he came home from fighting Napoleon a hardened man. Nothing can breathe life back into his cold heart - nothing except, perhaps, the love of an unusual young woman who regularly turns his life upside-down.

Nice story.
I enjoyed the characters, and story was enjoyable. Naration for lead male was painful to listen to.

Hilarious from start to finish!
Loved this Regency Romp! The tale has surprising little twists and turns and is quite fun. I found myself laughing and chuckling quite a bit at the hilarious descriptions. I especially enjoyed the narrator's voice for Fiona's notorious aunt, particularly the aunt's giggle. This story is well written and a great source of mirth. Enjoy!

Enjoyable
I enjoyed the creativity and writing style of the author and thought the narrator gave a good performance enlivening the various characters. The story was interesting and easy to listen to over several hours.

this was fun 😁
I love a regency romance with a sense of humour. this book from Kathleen Baldwin was well written and witty. I love Aunt Honour getting all her idioms muddled. certainly had me chucking.
As always Beverley Crick did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life.
