About this listen
After receiving a distressing letter from a friend, Lady Anne Addison wastes no time in traveling to Yorkshire to offer whatever help she can. She has no idea what she'll find there, but she certainly wasn't expecting to be met by tales of a werewolf terrorizing the area - nor the dead body she discovers upon arriving. Driven by curiosity and a keen intelligence, Lady Anne dismisses the notion of such a beast, but she's nonetheless drawn into the mysteries by the secrecy surrounding her friend and the infuriating yet enticing Lord Darkefell.
With a murderer on the loose and the supposed werewolf ravaging livestock and terrifying the locals, Lady Anne puts her reservations aside and joins forces with the seductive Darkefell to get to the bottom of things. And though his nearness is a tempting distraction, Lady Anne manages to uncover one clue after another, unraveling the mysteries and drawing ever closer to the killer, even while her true feelings for the enigmatic marquess elude her....

What a Great Story.
This was well read, a feature that is important to me. If it had been set any later then the heroine would have lead the Suffragettes and won. She was the very one to ferret out the troubles, combining her results with those of the hero before leaving him behind but I have been wondering if she’s going to accept his proposal at a later date. I imagine that there will be more adventures to work through before the independent lady takes the next step. It was a good tale and well worth listening to.

Obnoxious heroine
Nosy spinster who thinks she's always the smartest one in the room barges into a nasty situation and proceeds to clomp around "investigating". None of it is remotely any of her business but despite repeated rebuffs, warnings and plain requests to desist, she persists to the point where this reader, at least, hopes the werewolf will get her sooner rather than later. The tale requires far too much suspension of disbelief; no one would put up with her manner or actions. She'd be asked, most politely but firmly, to leave.
