Ángel Zapata (Madrid, 1961) es escritor. Profesor de escritura creativa en los Talleres Fuentetaja, colabora habitualmente como crítico literario y columnista en diversos medios de la prensa nacional. Entre otros galardones ha obtenido el Premio Ignacio Aldecoa de cuento, Premio Jaén de relato, Ciudad de Cádiz, Ciudad de Huelva y el Premio de la Fundación Fernández Lema.

Ha publicado "La práctica del relato", "El vacío y el centro (Tres lecturas en torno al cuento breve)" y "Las buenas intenciones y otros cuentos". Su trabajo como cuentista ha sido antologado en "Pequeñas resitencias. Antología del nuevo cuento español".
