About this listen

The sun set. The fall moon announced Halloween was about to arrive. As the natural satellite lifted in the sky, LD heard off in the distance someone yelling, “G-g-g-ghost! Ghost! Run, run!”

The group of young roosters and hens took flight toward the safety of the hen house. They moved as if they ran fast enough, they just might be able to fly.

But not LD Rooster; he immediately set his rooster feet in the direction of the alarm alerting him that ghosts were about.

Young LD was skeptical of the alarm and wanted to see for himself. He yelled out, “Ghost? Pish, posh, nothing of the sort exists in or near this swamp!"

“Such tall tales should stand and face me, I say! I am LD Rooster, third son of the third son, and I am prepared to face such bogus claims!”
