I felt he was starting to phone his books in... But this is right up there with his best!!

The dialogue of this was so heavy with whinging hawcs being insubordinate and incompetent, that I really had to double the reading speed to deal with it. I'm not persuaded at this point that they are as elite as claimed, I don't think I would have gotten away with being so unprepared and idiotic in my first job as a teenager. Completely and utterly inferior to Beneath the Dark Ice as a story.
