About this listen
It is highly unusual for a victim of domestic violence, especially in a case of near-death, to flip on the abuser and play a part in his death (self-defense), but this is a case of that happening, although there were others involved and they indirectly helped a man to die.
The man who died reigned 13 years of horror upon his family.
Most of this will seem impossible, fabricated, or ridiculous, but the truth is stranger than fiction.
According to police reports, Jeff’s business partner was concerned because Jeff had missed a meeting several days before on a Friday. Heller claimed he tried to call all weekend and got no answer. On Monday, he called the motel for a welfare check. The manager was unable to go into the room due to the engaged bolt, but the maintenance man was able to open the door with a tool, and they saw a body hanging.
That isn't the beginning by far, and it sure isn't the end of the nightmare....
