Cowboy and his woman!
OMG this book is all sorts of awesome! My first book by this author and just wow blew me away. who knew I had a soft spot for sexy dirty talking cowboys. And Jake's love for Connor was breathing taking.

Raw, Heartbreaking and Bitterswert
Firstly check the trigger warnings on this one, even if you are not easily triggered. Connor's trauma is stark and raw and so very real.
I went into this book after only reading the blurb. I was surprised at the punch in the face you receive so early in the story. But it was done in such a POWERFUL way. Choosing this particular part to be told from the MMCs point of view made it some how MORE shocking and painful and real! It also gave us an insight to Jake that was soul deep amd a lot of books miss the mark on.
The second chance romance was so bitter-sweet and moving and the underlying stakes are about as high as they get and really sold the motivations. it wasn't dark for the sake of being dark and it was really just masterful writing.
This is the first time I have read Pam Godwin, but it sure won't be the last. Thank you ma'am for a brilliant start to 2024

holy cowboy!,,,,
yup I wanna go git me a cowboy...sigh..
it's the first time I've listened to Pam Godwin, her writi g style reminds me of lora Leigh.. not to get confused with the stories.
she goes deep into the hero and heroine mind and examines their emotion and feelings with finesse and completeness.
it had me agitated every now and then, I just wanted her to get on with it. but she eeked it out as long as she made the characters eeke it out.
the hero was very committed and I wish there where men out there with dedication but the world today doesn't give these men a hope in hell.
I'm older of course and there are some dad's out there that may heave an ounce or 2 left but baggage is the sad truth of it all.

narrators where great. 1st time listening to tad but I k ow savannah, really well described, great I flections and tones.

Loved this audio!!!
Holy hotness!!! The beginning of this book was so traumatic, I wasn’t sure if I would survive it! But Pam Godwin weaved a masterpiece of a tale about soul mates, friendship and corruption that kept me riveted from start to finish! Conor and Jake’s soul searing love made me swoon from my head to my toes! Their connection was irreplaceable and timeless. I also loved the mystery that surrounded this epic love story and cannot wait to delve into Jarrett’s book!!

Loved it
The narrators of this book are brilliant. They take this story to the next level. This story was well written. The descriptions vivid. A well rounded and full bodied story that is resolved exceptionally well.

Heavy content and huge triggers
I was in a huge book slump and looking for something that would make me FEEL and boy did this book do the trick. I think I cried for the first 3qtrs of the book. Narration was excellent also. I do recommend if you're looking for something emotional and intense. Story flowed and I liked the characters.
