About this listen
A Falling Stars stand-alone novel from NYT and USA Today best-selling author A. L. Jackson....
A single mother.
An up-and-coming drummer with a sordid past.
Their paths never should have crossed.
But when a senseless crime rocks Mia West's entire world, she agrees to spend the summer hiding out at her rock-star brother's mansion in Savannah until the storm blows over.
What she never expected was the gorgeous, brooding drummer living in the guest house.
His darkness a lure.
His gaze a trap.
She knows better than to go after what will hurt her most.
Leif Godwin has two focuses in his life: his band, Carolina George, and seeking retribution for what was stolen from him.
Mia was never supposed to be a part of the equation.
Her eyes an appeal.
Her body a temptation.
Touching her is nothing but a sin.
But will loving her destroy them all....

AMAZING! 5 STARS ALL AROUND!
Kiss the stars would have to be one of the most awe inspiring stories I've heard for a while. A.L Jackson took us on a brilliantly written emotional rollercoaster, bringing tears to my eyes, a smile to my face and leaving me craving more. Her descriptions of the scenery, emotions of the characters and general plot gives the reader/listener a perfect image to base the story. Her writing skill and technique is brilliant. Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt, being two very skilled and well respected narrators, narrate the story wonderfully and bring the characters to life in the most amazing way. I never expect anything less from these two talented narrators. They always perform brilliantly. We are instantly brought to fall in love with Mia and Leif, their stories both pull at your heart strings from the beginning. You don't have to listen to the previous books in the series to grasp the true feel of these characters. In conclusion, this was one of the best stories I have heard for a while, paired with terrific performances by two seasoned, wonderful narrators, it will be sure to leave you on the edge of your seat for the entire ride! If I could award more stars, I would!

glad for A.L. Jackson's female heroine persona
this book would have been rivaling the thickness of war and peace if A.L.Jackson hadnt developed Mia the way she did.
ive listened to many of her books that are so descriptive and the way this one started i thought oh boy here we go. but Mia's understanding and substance pulled this off.
it didn't get as deep or as problem solving as her other collection...falling stars...which is freaking awesome btw.
I enjoyed the damaged hero finding himself and the twist at the end..didn't see it coming.
than you for a great book. A.L
nd the narrator's...Zachary makes my melt and Andi....what can you say to top one of the best

Leif and Mia
This is a brilliant spin-off series. The beautiful unfolding of trust and hope and love. The relationship between Leif and the Sunder crew is full of banter, it’s difficult to remember who is related, they are all so close. Xx

Over written
I did finish this story just to find out what happened... but this story was so overwritten with "my spirit" and "my being" and so verbose it was killing me, over and over and over and over and over... if you get my drift. I eye rolled a number of times. There was nothing wrong with the actual story, but the descriptors were just over the top and corny.
I loved the "Fight for me" series which was far more believable, so if you want to sample A.L. Jackson... start with those.... you won't be disappointed. This series is just too over the top for me!

Grossly Over written!
it was sooo over written- the frustration needling incestantly like a swarm of locusts gnawing at the field that is my brain cells sending shivering sensations as though my body is being enveloped by the brisk morning air on a winters day. How many characters do I have for this reveiw- I can definantly go on and on and on just like this novel!

Mixed feelings
I felt at a disadvantage when this started, not realising there was a previous series with characters which featured heavily in the book and not knowing who was who was annoying.
The writing style was different, poetic, descriptive but lacking a connection.
Zachary Webber is one of my favourite narrators but his performance was flat, I think this was more due to the material he was working with, he sounded bored half the time.
The story was good, very insta love, but I was getting impatient to get to the point which came very late. Overall it was an ok listen but I’m not in any rush to continue with the series.
