About this listen
The stunning conclusion of a worldwide phenomenon - from the boldly original author of Captive Prince and Prince's Gambit.
His identity now revealed, Damen must face his master, Prince Laurent, as Damianos of Akielos, the man Laurent has sworn to kill. On the brink of a momentous battle, the future of both their countries hangs in the balance. In the south, Kastor's forces are massing. In the north, the Regent's armies are mobilizing for war. Damen's only hope of reclaiming his throne is to fight together with Laurent against their usurpers. Forced into an uneasy alliance, the two princes journey deep into Akielos, where they face their most dangerous opposition yet. But even if the fragile trust they have built survives the revelation of Damen's identity, can it stand against the Regents final, deadly play for the throne?

I'm still crying!
The last book in my favourite book series of all time was a masterpiece! I cried during so many scenes -- especially towards the end of the book -- and got many strange looks in public. Again Davies' voice was a ... strange ... choice but he did grow on me. I just found his voice for Damen too high and Laurent way too deep. Anyway, listen to this!

a satisfying end to the trilogy
a satisfying end to the trilogy. I loved all three stories. the originality of the love story and the creation of the fantasy world were cleverly achieved. there were many twists and turns to keep my interest.

A story with so many twists and turns
The story built slowly, the two main characters learning about themselves, their pasts and what the people around them are capable of. Beautiful descriptions of their development, Book 3 was especially wonderful ❤️

Captive and captivating
Personally I could write another book to define the feelings and thoughts produced by this trilogy. The perils and twists show such sublime story telling and it wasn’t afraid to force you to confront real situations in a fantasy world. So yes, I recommend you purchase all three in this series and allow yourself to get drawn in, to the resolute master piece in love and drama.
